A. Click Start >> Run >> and type gpedit.msc to Group Policy Editor window appears.
2. Then click the User Configuration >> Administrative Templates >> Start Menu andTaskbar >> until it looks like the screenshot below. 3. Then in the right pane, double click on the Remove Search menu from Start Menu to get a window Remove Search menu from Start Menu Properties, such as the screenshotbelow.

Without having to logoff, you just click on the Start menu and make sure the Search featureis not there (Start Menu).
To return to normal, repeat the steps above then select an option Not Configured on theRemove Search menu from Start Menu Properties.
