Hide Features Search

The steps are as follows. To avoid the things we do not want, make sure you have backup the windows registry first. 

First, run regedit by clicking Start >> Run >> and type "regedit" (without the quotes) followed by the OK or ENTER to get a window regedit.

Secondly, click HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ Explorer

Third, the Explorer folder, create a new DWORD by right-clicking on an empty area and select New >> DWORD value and name it NoFind.

Fifth, close the regedit window.

2. Then click the User Configuration >> Administrative Templates >> Start Menu andTaskbar >> until it looks like the screenshot below. 3. Then in the right pane, double click on the Remove Search menu from Start Menu to get a window Remove Search menu from Start Menu Properties, such as the screenshotbelow.

4. Then select the Enabled option

5. Then click Apply and / or OK.

Without having to logoff, you just click on the Start menu and make sure the Search featureis not there (Start Menu).

To return to normal, repeat the steps above then select an option Not Configured on theRemove Search menu from Start Menu Properties.

Hiding Specific Icons Control Panel

Second, click the HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Control Panel \ do not load


Third, right-click on the folder do not load and then click [New]> [String Value] and thenrename the existing file name in the Control Panel.


For example, if we want to hide the Phone and Modem Options icon then rename thestring value with telephon.cpl or if you want to hide the Internet Options icon then name itinet.cpl.
