Tips Hide My Recent Documents from the Start Menu. By default, the My RecentDocuments menu is displayed on the Start menu. If you want, we can hide it so that otherscan not see the track of what documents we have just opened. If interested, please followthe tips shared Computer Tips and Tricks below.
On this occasion, Tips and Tricks Computers will be using Windows XP, the RegistryEditor. But before doing so, I suggest to backup the registry in advance to anticipate the things we do not want.
First, run regedit (registry editor) by means of [Start] >> [Run] >> and then type "regedit"and then proceed with OK or ENTER until the Registry Editor window.
Secondly, and then click
HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \
Policies \ Explorer
Third, the folder Explorer Make a new DWORD Value and name it "NoRecentDocsMenu"
Fourth, double click DWORD Value that we just created it so it appears the window "EditDWORD Value" then input the data value to 1.
